hmm | Kavidhai | Priya Bhavani Shankar

I watched Karu Palaniappan speech. As that is what came in my YouTube fees. He spoke a small incident about Priya Bhavani Shankar and later about Manushya Puthiran and his novel. As always, Karu Palaniappan has a way with his speech and narration and it went well for 20 odd minutes. 

YouTube & algorithms for their magic and Priya Bhavani Shankar video got recommended to me in YouTube home page. I like Priya Bhavani Shankar (PBS) - so I clicked to watch it.

Side note - I had no idea about PBS but liked Meyaadha maan movie. After this movie I learnt that she was a former Tamil news anchor and pivoted towards film industry. My sister knew about her.... apparently coz some people have said her mannerisms and my sis mannerisms matched somewhat it seems. I dismissed the similarities when my sister said to me in 2018 - saying it was too much. However, few years later, I also noticed such similarities in speaking, mannerisms etc and told her and she reminded me that I was late.

Nevertheless, I liked PBS coz she felt sort of like a friend or neighborhood girl; that's how she came across for me. No airs during the few interviews she had given. Typical Tamil girl. Guess she studies somewhere at Crescent or nearby somewhere. All of these apart, she felt like she could be any other girl. That's all. Also, she had correct views, including some views about current events/politics etc - as I heardher opinion in one of the videos. She was also candid and bold enough to say it 

I really wish she does even more projects as she is truly capable enough to do meaty roles - I feel she is as capable as Simran, if not more. She does more ad photoshoots than movies which I hope changes soon.

Coming to this video, I liked how she is coming for a book fair and not any other fancy store opening etc. Not that it is bad to attend store opening, that is a good publicity & remuneration for artists but fact that she also chooses to come to book fair is what I like about her. Second, to be invited to a book launch, she ought to be known to the author and to be know to the author, conveys her reading inclination and socializing beyond just glitz and glamor aspect of things and in to grey matter (reading/intellluct) connect is an indicator of her intellluct as well 

I loved the two kavidhais she read out from the book, especially the one about someone 10 years later also not closing something fully but keeping a tiny opening. Hmmm....

Kavidhai was good. PBS picking that was good. Her narration also is good.
